Angel
Sign:
Angel
"Angel"
Angel
Synonyms:
Angelic, Cherub, Seraph, Heavenly Host
Hand Shape:
"5" or open "B".
Motion:
Touch fingers to shoulders. Then sweep hands out away from the body and flutter hands up and down like the motion of wings.
Note(s):
(Mnemonic Note) Connotes the wings traditionally attributed to angels.
Variations:
As you flutter your hands you may move them outward away from the body slightly. Also, when speaking specifically about Cherubim or Seraphim, some people initialize the sign with a "C" or "S" during the beginning hand position (they initialize both hands when touching the shoulders. The hand shape for the fluttering motion is the same as above).
