Write Daily Devotions
Daily Devotions for the Deaf is published three times a year. Nearly 24,000 copies are mailed to individuals and churches in the United States, Canada and more than eighty foreign countries.
We would like to encourage you to be a part of this ministry by writing devotions. Each issue has 25 to 30 different authors who share their devotional thoughts with our readers. We are not able to pay those who write, but hope you are willing to write as a service to deaf people and to the Lord.
Devotions are written as an aid in the personal worship of God. We ask that you use the following format:
Title
Bible Reading: approximately 5 to 10 verses in length
Devotional Thought: 3 to 4 paragraphs in length
Printed Verse: should confirm the message of the devotional thought
Short Prayer
The total length should be about 250 words (including the printed verse and prayer). Short stories or personal illustrations may make your devotion more interesting.
We would prefer your devotions to be typewritten, if possible, but we will accept handwritten ones. You may send your devotion(s) by mail (Deaf Missions, 21199 Greenview Rd., Council Bluffs, IA 51503) or email (jokrueger@deafmissions.com). We will not be able to return your devotions to you, so make copies if you wish to keep them. We will edit the devotions as needed. We do not promise to use all the devotions we receive. When your devotion is printed in the devotion book, your initials will appear at the end of the devotion. An author's page in the book will identify your name and city. We will send you a copy of the book containing your devotion(s), along with a thank you letter.
We hope that you will join the team and send us your devotional thoughts. We pray that together we can continue to make Daily Devotions for the Deaf a source of inspiration and blessing to many people.
Sincerely in Christ,
Jo Krueger, Editor
Daily Devotions for the Deaf
P.S. If you are deaf, please inform us. We like to specially identify deaf authors with an asterisk by their initials and name.
