Greetings!

CHAD:
My name is Chad and I’m the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Deaf Missions.

JOSEPH:
My name is Joseph and I’m the Chief Media Officer (CMO) here at Deaf Missions and Producer of JESUS: a Deaf Missions film released earlier this year. We have an announcement about a transition that will take place soon at Deaf Missions.

CHAD:
After serving Deaf Missions for 25 years – including the past 17 as CEO – I have submitted my resignation. My wife and I feel it’s the right time for our family and healthy timing for Deaf Missions. I have had the honor and tremendous joy of seeing God bring about the accomplishment of two major projects — translation of the first- ever complete Bible in a sign language, American Sign Language, that was finished in 2020 and the release of JESUS: a Deaf Missions film.

JOSEPH:
Chad will continue in the CEO role until December 31. Having served and worked alongside Chad for the past 18 years, I am really thankful for the opportunities we’ve had to work together to impact Deaf people with the Gospel of Jesus. Thank you, Chad!

CHAD:
I’m thankful for you, too, Joseph! I’m truly honored to have served Jesus with you as you have done such a wonderful job as the Chief Media Officer. Even though I will transitioning away from Deaf Missions, I truly believe Deaf Missions is in good hands going forward! The Board of Directors of Deaf Missions spent much time in prayer as they considered different candidates both inside and outside the organization. The board has unanimously decided the very best next leader is Joseph! Yay!! Joseph will begin as the CEO on January 1.

JOSEPH:
Yes, I’m truly honored the board has asked me to be the next CEO. Chad you carried on our Founder Duane King’s legacy with steady wise leadership and Deaf Missions is thriving with a firm foundation. I’m excited to continue building on that legacy. I’mreally looking forward to working with the board, staff, ministry partners, donors, volunteers and many others as we continue with the same mission, vision and focus we’ve had since Deaf Missions was founded in 1970. Our mission is to effectively communicate the Gospel of Jesus with Deaf people. Our vision is for Deaf people to see and know Jesus. And our focus will continue to be impacting Deaf people through high-quality, high-impact video/film resources in our native, heart language – sign language.

CHAD:
Amen! I want to strongly encourage you all to continue to pray for and financially support Deaf Missions during this transition and beyond. Remember that even though there will be a leadership change, a couple things will not change…first, God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and He will always be with us; and second, Deaf Missions’ work will continue because there are still Deaf people out there who need Jesus.

JOSEPH:
Amen! We truly appreciate and thank you so much for your continued prayers and financial support! As we move forward, we will continue to communicate with you all. Thank you, again. God bless you!

CHAD AND JOSEPH:
ILY! ILY!
