My mother was a very good seamstress. She could make clothes without using a pattern. And she could make alterations very easily. I enjoy sewing, too. But I do not like to rip out a seam or re-do my sewing. I like to start sewing projects that are new.
Our Bible Reading today talks about a potter. When a potter makes a pot and it doesn’t look right, he will squish the clay together and make a new pot. Then he carefully shapes the pot the way he wants it to be.
God is the potter, and we are His clay. Sometimes we mess up and sin. Through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, we can ask God to forgive us, and He will give us a new start. God remolds us and helps us be what He wants us to be.
Don’t be discouraged today. This is a new day and God has given you a new opportunity to obey and serve Him. Ask Him to forgive you and help you do what is right.
