One day my teacher told my class about government ambassadors. Ambassadors are people who represent their country. I asked my teacher if a deaf person could be an ambassador for my country. My teacher said that deaf people probably cannot be ambassadors because of their hearing problems. I was disappointed. Then I read our Bible Reading. Paul said that Christians should represent Jesus (verse 20). Paul also said in Ephesians 6:20, “I have the work of speaking for that Good News. I am doing that now, here in prison. Pray that when I tell people that Good News I will speak without fear like I should.” Paul was saying that he was an ambassador for Jesus.
When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we become His ambassadors. We represent Him here on earth. It does not matter if we are hearing or deaf. We can still be Christian ambassadors. Someday God will reward His ambassadors in heaven.
