Animals (1)

For the next few days, our devotions will be about animals. Let?s start with lions.
Have you ever watched the lions in a zoo? You can see their powerful muscles move as they walk back and forth in their pens. They look very strong and seem to be restless. When a zoo worker brings their food, the lions tear it up and eat it quickly.
Our Bible Reading today compares the devil to a lion. The devil prowls around the earth, trying to get us to sin. Then when we sin, he snatches us up just like the lion grabs his food. The devil is very powerful. He can overcome us, if we let him.
Yes, the devil is powerful. But we read in 1 John 4:4b that God is much more powerful! One Bible version translates this verse: ?Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.? This means that even though the devil seems very powerful, we have God, who is much more powerful.
Trust God to help you when the devil tempts you to sin. God is powerful and will always help you.
