Apostles (10)

The next apostle we will talk about is James, the son of Alphaeus. This is not the same James that we talked about several days ago.
James is mentioned in our Bible Reading today. Paul had been traveling and sharing the Good News about Jesus with Gentiles, people who were not Jews. The church leaders in Jerusalem wanted to know what Paul had been doing. So Paul went back to Jerusalem to see the church leaders.
Some of the apostles traveled and told about Jesus. But it seems that James stayed in Jerusalem. He became a leader in the church there. Maybe His life wasn’t as exciting as the lives of other apostles, but He was still serving God in Jerusalem.
Maybe you think that your service for God is not exciting. That’s okay. God can use you right where you are. Ask Him to bless your work for His kingdom.
What will you do for God today?
