Be Joyful!

My husband has had multiple sclerosis for 25 years. He walks with a walker and has difficulty seeing and remembering things. He is only 54 years old. I have told my friends that I feel like I am watching my husband slowly die.
It is easy for me to become sad and discouraged as I take care of my husband. But I am comforted to read verses like our Bible Reading today. Habakkuk described some bad situations. But then he said (verse 18), “I will still be glad in the Lord and rejoice in God my savior.” Habakkuk trusted God to be his strength and help him overcome his problems.
Every day we make choices. When bad things happen to us, we can choose to be discouraged and complain. Or we can choose to be thankful and joyful that God loves us and has given us salvation through Jesus.
What kind of problems will you face today? Do not become sad and discouraged. Choose to remember God’s promises and be joyful!
