One day Saul was traveling to the city of Damascus. Saul was looking for Christians. He wanted to find Christians and stop them from following Jesus.
When Saul was near Damascus, “a very bright light from the sky suddenly shined around him” (verse 3b). Jesus spoke to Saul. He told Saul to go into Damascus and that someone would come and tell him what to do.
After Saul saw the bright light, he was blind. So the men with Saul led him to Damascus. God told a man named Ananias to go see Saul. Ananias put his hands on Saul, and he was able to see again. Then Saul was baptized, and soon he started teaching other people about Jesus.
God had great plans for Saul. Jesus told Ananias, “I have chosen Saul for an important work. He must tell about me to kings, to the Jewish people, and to the nations” (verse 15b). Later Saul traveled and told many people about Jesus.
God has a plan for you, too. Ask Him to show you His plan for your life.
