Often we try to tell someone about Jesus, but they don’t understand. We need to remember that the devil makes people “blind” to the truth about Jesus. These people live in a world that is dark and full of sin. They become impatient, discouraged, disappointed and frustrated. They cannot understand the Good News about Jesus.
But we should not give up. We need to remember that the Bible can teach these people the truth. God’s truth is the light that can break through the blindness of sin. Verse 6b of our Bible Reading says, “And this is the same God who made his light shine in our hearts. He gave us light by letting us know the glory of God that is in the face of Christ.”
We should also remember that God’s grace has saved us. We are no longer blind because we have Jesus’ light in our lives. We need to be patient with people who do not follow Jesus. Our kindness will help them learn about Jesus’ love.
Don’t give up sharing Jesus’ light with other people. Ask God to help you be kind and patient with the people you meet today.
