Nehemiah is one of my favorite books in the Bible. There are many “nuggets” we can learn from this book. According to the dictionary, the word “nugget” means: 1. a lump, especially of gold, or 2. anything small but of great value.
I like the second definition — small, but of great value. Today, and in the next nine devotions, we will study the book of Nehemiah in the Old Testament. This book is a small book compared to some of the large Old Testament books like Genesis, Psalms and Ezekiel. Even though Nehemiah is a small book, it is of GREAT value.
I have personally learned “nuggets” (things) from this book that I have applied to my life and ministry. I hope you will enjoy learning, too, as we read though the book of Nehemiah.
I encourage you to read all 13 chapters of Nehemiah. You will see that Nehemiah was a faithful servant of God. You may learn from Nehemiah how to faithfully depend on God and serve Him, too.
