Book of Prophecy

The last book of the New Testament is the book of Revelation. This book of prophecy tells about things that will happen when Jesus comes to take His followers to live with Him forever. Revelation was written by John, one of Jesus’ twelve apostles.
Many people love to read the book of Revelation. Why? Because it tells about strange things and about heaven. Many people also love to argue about this book. They argue that the events in Revelation have already happened, or they will happen soon, or they will happen a long time in the future.

God does not want us to argue about this book. He wants us to read it and be encouraged. The theme of Revelation is this: When the world ends, Jesus will take Christians to heaven to live forever with Him. The devil and his followers will be defeated. That is exciting news!
But the book of Revelation is also a warning. If you do not follow Jesus, you will not be allowed to enter heaven. Revelation 20:15 says, “And if a person’s name was not found written in the book of life, then that person was thrown into the lake of fire.”
I hope you will decide today to follow Jesus and live forever.
