As I write this devotion, my daughter is turning thirteen years old. So it is party time for our family! My daughter thinks that hats and balloons are childish, but we will still celebrate her life.
My daughter will have breakfast served to her in bed, and she will choose the menu for dinner. There will be a banner outside the house to let the world know that we are celebrating her birthday. And then she will blow out candles on her favorite dessert.
Sometimes we just need to celebrate! And the best thing that we can celebrate is God’s goodness to us. Our Bible verses today tell about Israelites who were celebrating what God had done for them in the past. To show their thanks, they sang, shouted, played instruments and blew horns.
God has been good to you! Think about all that He has done for you. Then take time today to thank God and celebrate His goodness.
