Chosen (2)

I am a student of American Sign Language (ASL). Several times I have been chosen to work at ASL interpreters’ conferences. Another time I was selected to follow and learn from a trained interpreter. I am thankful for these opportunities. But I know that it was really God who chose me to do these special things.
In today’s Bible Reading, Jesse showed seven of his sons to Samuel. Each time, Samuel said that son was not the one God had chosen. After Samuel had seen all seven sons, he said (verse 10b), “The Lord has not chosen any of these men.” But then Samuel saw Jesse’s eighth son, David. God said, “Get up and anoint him. He is the one” (verse 12b).
God chose David to be the king of Israel. And I know that God chose me to do special things for Him, both now and in the future.
God has some special things planned for you, too. Give your life to God and let Him lead you to do these special things.
