Circle of Light

At a recent retreat I attended, every person received a small candle in a glass holder. We were told to light our candle. Then the lights in the room were shut off. When I looked at my candle, I noticed that the flame was very small. But there was a large circle of light surrounding the candle holder. I had never seen this happen before. The clear glass holder reflected the light so it could spread out even more.
As I looked at that circle of light, I realized that Christians should be like that candle holder. In our Bible Reading, Paul wrote that we are like clay jars that hold the treasure of God’s light. Paul said that God did this so other people will know that the amazing power we have comes from God and not from us.
We need to let other people see Christ in us. Then God can take our life and use it to change the lives of many people.
