Maybe you have told someone, “I have nothing to wear.” Usually that means that you can’t decide what to wear. You probably have a closet full of clothes, and some of those clothes may not even fit you any more.

For most of us, we have plenty of clothes to wear. We may even be able to give away some of our used clothes to ministries who send them to needy people in foreign countries. It is good when we share the blessings that God has given us.

In Matthew, chapter 6, Jesus taught His followers an important lesson about clothing. These people were worried about what they would eat, drink or wear. Here is what
Jesus said about clothing in Matthew 6:28-29. “And why do you worry about clothes? Look at the wildflowers in the field. See how they grow. They don’t work or make clothes for themselves. But I tell you that even Solomon, the great and rich king, was not dressed as beautifully as one of these flowers.”

Jesus told these people not to worry about clothing. Why? Because God knew exactly what they needed. God knows what we need, too. If we try to obey God and do what He wants, He will provide all that we need. So don’t worry today. Instead, give thanks to God for what He has given to you!
