Conversions in Acts (10)

Paul and Silas were in jail. How did they feel? Did they feel sad or discouraged? No! Verse 25a says, “About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing songs to God.” Even though they were in jail, they prayed and sang songs!
While Paul and Silas were praying, there was an earthquake. This caused the doors of the jail to open and the chains on the prisoners to fall off!
The jailer woke up and saw that the doors were open. He thought all the prisoners had escaped. The jailer was ready to kill himself (the Roman government killed jailers who let their prisoners escape). Paul told the jailer that the prisoners were still there.
The jailer asked Paul and Silas what he should do to be saved. Paul told him to believe in Jesus. The jailer and all his people were baptized that same night. Even though Paul and Silas were in jail, God used them to lead the jailer and his family to salvation in Jesus.
God can use you, too. Share God’s Word with others. Encourage them to change their lives and be baptized in the name of Jesus.
