Different People

It would be boring if all people in the world were alike. Instead, God made people to have different color hair, skin and eyes. He made some people deaf and some hearing.
In our Bible Reading, Peter told Cornelius and his family about Jesus. This was the first time that the Good News about Jesus was preached to people who were not Jews. In verse 34b Peter said, “I really understand now that to God every person is the same.”
We should be like God — we should treat all people the same. An example of this was when Barack Obama became President of the United States in 2009. After his inauguration, there were many parties of celebration. Some of these parties were for rich people. But one party was for homeless people and one for young people. All kinds of people were involved in the celebration.
It does not matter to God what color our skin is or how much money we make. He loves us all. And, we should love other people, too.
