Don’t Be Afraid!

Five years ago today, terrorists attacked the United States of America. Thousands of people were killed. Many people across the country were afraid that day. Some Americans are still afraid that terrorists will strike again.
In our Bible Reading today, Moses told the Israelites that Joshua would be their new leader. Then Moses reminded the people that God had helped them defeat their enemies. In verse 6a, Moses said, “Be strong and be brave. Don’t be afraid of those people. Why? Because the Lord your God is with you.”
Often we become afraid. Maybe we are afraid of things happening in the world. Or we are afraid of facing sickness or death. But we should remember that God is always with us. He will love us and take care of us.
Maybe you will face some frightening things today. Don’t be afraid! Remember that God is with you and will help you.
