Don’t Worry

It was a quiet Sunday afternoon. The phone rang. It was a friend who wanted to come to my house that evening and talk with me.
After I hung up the phone, I started to worry. What did my friend want to talk about? Was she upset or frustrated with me? All of my thoughts were negative. But that evening, I found out that she wanted to talk with me about another person who had a problem. My friend was not upset with me at all!
We often allow negative thinking and worries to fill our lives. Living like that is like someone who sees the rain and complains about it, but never notices the beautiful rainbow at the end of the rain.
In our Bible verses, Paul tells us to be filled with joy and not to be worried. We should pray to God and thank Him. Don’t let negative thoughts fill your life today. Think about things that praise God!
