Recently I had some health problems. My doctor had me take several medical tests. One test showed that my illness might be a very serious problem.
The following Sunday I went to the front of the church so the minister could pray for me. After the church service, one of the younger members of the church came to me. She gently touched my shoulder and said, “I love you.” This woman usually does not share her feelings. I knew that she really meant what she said.
During the next few days I had more tests. I remembered that woman’s words, and they encouraged me a lot. Finally the doctor told me that I did not have a serious health problem at all.
In our Bible Reading, Paul talked about Christians loving and comforting one another. My friend at church comforted me. Maybe you will have the opportunity to comfort someone today.
