Exodus (3)

Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt. When the Egyptian king heard about this, he sent his army to bring them back to Egypt. Our Bible verses tell us that when the Israelites saw the king and his army, they were afraid.

The Israelites were so afraid that they wanted to go back to Egypt and be slaves again. But Moses told them, “Don’t be afraid! Don’t run away! Stand where you are and watch the Lord save you today” (verse 13a). God caused the water of the Red Sea to divide so the Israelites could walk through on dry land. Then God destroyed the Egyptian army.

Sometimes we may feel like the Israelites. We feel alone and afraid. And we don’t know what we should do next. That’s when we need to pray and ask God to help us. He will help us find a way through our problems and trials.
