Faith Hall of Fame (3)

Another person mentioned in Hebrews, chapter 11, is Joseph. He was truly a man of faith.
Chapters 37-45 of Genesis tell us the story about Joseph’s life. Many bad things happened to Joseph. His brothers sold him into slavery, and he was taken to Egypt. Joseph was falsely accused and sent to prison. But God was always with Joseph. In the end, Joseph became an important ruler in Egypt. Because of his position, he was able to save his family from starvation.
Our Bible Reading today tells us about Joseph and his brothers. They were afraid of Joseph because they had done bad things to him. But in verse 20 Joseph said, “It is true that you planned to do something bad to me. But really, God was planning good things. God’s plan was to use me to save the lives of many people.”
Through all the bad times, Joseph kept his faith in God. He believed that God would help and protect him. God is with you today, too. He will never fail you.
