Faith Hall of Fame (6)

The next person in the Faith Hall of Fame is Rahab. She was a woman who lived in the city of Jericho. Hebrews 11:31 says, “And Rahab, the prostitute, welcomed the Israelite spies like friends. And because of her faith, she was not killed with the ones who refused to obey.”
Our Bible Reading tells us that Joshua sent two spies into the city of Jericho. Rahab hid the two spies from the king of Jericho. Because of her kindness to the spies, Rahab and her family were saved when Jericho was destroyed.
Rahab knew about God’s power, and she had faith that God would take care of her. Joshua 6:25 says that after Rahab left Jericho, she lived with the Israelites. She is even mentioned as being part of Jesus’ family line in Matthew 1:5.
Sometimes we might be scared to do the things God wants us to do. God helped Rahab to be strong. He will help us be strong, too.
