Yesterday I had a problem. I wanted to talk to my friend. I wanted my friend to pray with me. I tried to call my friend, but she was not home. I was really disappointed.
One of the wonderful things about God is that He is always “at home.” He is always ready to pay attention to my prayers. God never leaves me alone. Verse 1 of our Bible Reading says, “God is our storehouse of strength. In him, I can always find help in times of trouble.” In Romans 8:38-39, Paul reminds us that nothing will separate us from God’s love.
When I was younger, we sang a hymn (song) in church. The words were, “No, never alone; no, never alone. He promised never to leave me – never to leave me alone.” I like that song. Why? Because it reminds me about God’s promises in the Bible. I will never be disappointed with God. He will never leave me alone.
