Flowers that bloom in the summertime are so beautiful! I enjoy seeing fields of wildflowers that grow in Iowa. My favorite wildflower is the wild rose, which is the official flower of Iowa.
When I look at wildflowers, I remember that God made them and that He makes them bloom year after year. In our Bible Reading today, Jesus talked about wildflowers. He said, “Look at the wildflowers in the field. See how they grow. They don’t work or make clothes for themselves. But I tell you that even Solomon, the great and rich king, was not dressed as beautifully as one of these flowers” (verses 28b-29).
Jesus goes on to explain that God takes care of the wildflowers and He will take care of us, too. We do not need to worry about food or clothes today. God knows what we need and will take care of us.
Focus on following God and His Word today.
