In Matthew, chapters 5-7, we can read some of Jesus’ teachings. Verses 28 and 29 of our Bible Reading say, “And why do you worry about clothes? Look at the flowers in the field. See how they grow. They don’t work or make clothes for themselves. But I tell you that even Solomon, the great and rich king, was not dressed as beautifully as one of these flowers.”

In these verses, Jesus said that we should be like flowers and not worry about the clothes we wear. I think that we can learn other lessons from flowers, too. First, we should be beautiful like flowers. No matter how our bodies look, we can be beautiful if we show God’s love to other people. Then these people will see our beauty and want to follow Jesus, too.
Second, we should accept God’s gifts to us. Flowers open up in the morning and accept the sunshine and the rain that God sends. We should accept God’s blessings, too. The greatest blessing from God is salvation through Jesus.
I hope you will be like a flower today. Let other people see God’s love through you.
