Yesterday I told you that my dog focused on the wrong thing. I was afraid she would become lost if she chased the deer too far away.
I quickly followed my dog until I was in front of her. I was able to slow her down and block her path. Finally, she gave up chasing the deer. Then I was worried that she would run off again. So I picked her up and carried her home.
Sometimes we do things that are wrong. Then God is disappointed. But He does not stop loving us. God cares about us and wants to help us. When we realize that we are doing something wrong, we need to stop doing it and ask God to forgive us. When this happens, God “picks us up” like I picked up my dog. God will always lead us in the right direction. Verse 8b of our Bible Reading tells us that God’s “commands are good. They show people the right way to live.”
Are you going the right way today? Let God show you the right way.
