Forgetfulness

The older I get, the more I forget. Sometimes I walk to the other end of the Deaf Missions building, and I can’t remember why I am there. Or I stop at the grocery store on the way home to pick up three items, and I can only remember two of the items.
Most people experience some forgetfulness as they age. But God is not like that. He does not forget His promise to take care of me. Our Bible Reading today tells us that God does not forget the birds that He created. Then Jesus also reminds us that we don’t need to be afraid. Why? Because God remembers us and will take care of us.
God takes care of the birds. And I am worth more to God than the birds. He will remember me and take care of me. That makes me feel good. So I will try to remember that God is thinking about me today!
