Friendship

I read a story about a woman who had a secret. The woman told the secret to her friend. That friend promised that she would not tell the secret to anyone.

One day a man asked the woman about the secret she had told her friend. Then the woman knew that the friend had broken her promise. She was very upset, so she went to her friend’s house. As the woman was driving, she remembered that God wants us to love our friends and be kind to them. When she arrived at her friend’s house, she asked her friend why she had told the secret. The friend apologized and asked the woman to forgive her. The woman forgave her, and they prayed together.
Sometimes we are like this woman. We are tempted to be angry with our friends. But we need to remember that God wants us to treat other people the same way we want to be treated. Matthew 7:12a says, “Do to other people the same things you want them to do to you.”
Be forgiving and loving today.
