Fruit of the Spirit

When we become Christians, the Holy Spirit comes to live in us. Paul tells us that we can know that the Holy Spirit is living in us.
If the Holy Spirit is living in us, we will show the fruit of the Spirit mentioned in our Bible Reading today: “Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” The Holy Spirit works in our lives to change us from the old person of sin to a new person in Jesus.
Soon Christians will celebrate the day that Jesus arose from the dead. Around this time of year, Christians often think about their lives and how they should change so they can live closer to God.
Christians should always be changing to become what God wants them to be. That’s why God sent the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps us grow and be more like Jesus.
Are you changing today? Are you showing more fruit of the Spirit?
