Gentle Love

Paul started a church in the city of Corinth while he was on his second mission trip. The book of 1 Corinthians tells us that the church in Corinth had many problems. Some people were doing bad things. Paul wrote this book to help these Christians.
In chapters 1 through 11, Paul told the people how to become pure and free from pride and other sins. In chapters 12-16, Paul taught about spiritual gifts and Jesus’ resurrection. But 1 Corinthians chapter 13 is a favorite chapter of this book.
I read a book called Love Comes Softly. It is a story about a man who patiently and gently waits for a woman to fall in love with him. It is a beautiful story which shows us that true love is always the best. Chapter 13 of 1 Corinthians talks about love. Paul said in verse 1, “I may speak in different languages of men or even angels. But if I don’t have love, then I am only a noisy bell or a ringing cymbal.” All of chapter 13 is filled with wisdom for Christians.
God wants us to love each other with a special kind of love. Remember Paul’s words about love today.
