Get Excited*

Recently I went to Romania. I helped orphaned children (boys and girls without parents) in the cities of Bucharest and Cernavoda. We distributed medical supplies, milk, food, clothing, candy and crafts. We also told people the Good News about Jesus, gave out Bibles and Bible study books, and shared God’s love through hugs and smiles.
My church in Council Bluffs, Iowa, gave me money and prayer support to go and help these needy children in Romania. My family and friends were happy to share in this mission work. It was exciting! Why? Because it is wonderful to share the Good News and see God working among people.
When Deaf Missions began, I remember the excitement in my church at Norfolk. I remember the generous gifts of time and money that Christians gave Duane King as he told people about Deaf Missions. Duane’s enthusiasm spread through all the churches where he shared his plans about a mission work especially for deaf people. There was nothing like it. Loving Christians became excited about reaching deaf people for Jesus.
