God is in Control

Several years ago, I moved across the country to go to a school where I learned about becoming a missionary. I had to leave my family, quit my job and move out of my house. I left behind everything that was familiar to me.
It was a hard decision for me to move, but I knew that following God was more important than my own comfort. When I was lonely and sad, I read my Bible. When I was scared, I prayed. When I was homesick, I asked my friends to pray for me.
Through all these hard times, verse 11 of our Bible verses was very important to me. This verse taught me that God is in control of my life. “I say this because I know the plans that I have for you…I have good plans for you. I don’t plan to hurt you. I plan to give you hope and a good future.”
Maybe you are going through changes in your life today. Remember that God is in control. He has good things planned for you.
