God’s Face (5)

In the past few devotions we have talked about seeking God’s face or God turning His face away from people. In our Bible Reading today, we read about a time when we will be able to see God’s face.
“God’s servants will worship him. They will see his face” (verses 3b-4a). Wow! I can’t imagine how wonderful it will be to see God’s face. Revelation 21:4 tells us that “there will be no more death, sadness, crying, or pain.”
Someday every person will see God’s face. This will be a happy time for people who have believed in Jesus as Savior and followed Him. But it will be a sad time for people who have rebelled and turned away from God. God will not allow them to share in the blessings of heaven.
Take some time today to think about meeting God face to face. Will God look at you and see someone whose sins have been forgiven by Jesus? Or will He see someone who refused to accept His free gift of salvation?
