God’s Grace

When I was young, I played a board game called Battleship. I tried to move my battleships so that my opponent would not sink them. I wanted to win so much that sometimes I would cheat.

Cheating happens all the time in our world today — in schools, among athletes and in business. But when I became a Christian, I did not have to cheat any more. God gave me something so much better. He gave me grace!

The Bible talks a lot about grace. Here are some things that grace does for us: blesses us, saves us, encourages us, gives us victory over sin and gives us power. Verse 21a of our Bible Reading says, “Sin once used death to rule us. But God gave us more of his grace so that grace could rule by making us right with him.”

God’s grace helps us be a winner all the time. Thank God for His amazing grace today!
