God’s Help

I drove from Kentucky to be a student in the Deaf Missions Extension Class program. When I was only a few miles from Deaf Missions, it started snowing. I could not see the road through the heavy snow.
I pulled off the road and started praying. I told God that maybe my friends were right – maybe I shouldn’t have come to Iowa. I didn’t really know sign language very well. Maybe I should go home.
I continued to pray. Soon I realized that this was where God wanted me to be. I said, “God, I know you are here with me. Please send some help NOW!” At that moment, I saw a bright light. A vehicle pulled off the road, and a patrol officer came toward my car. I explained my problem to him. Then I got into his car and called Deaf Missions.
While I was waiting for someone to come from Deaf Missions, the officer told me that he had been looking for a truck that was broken down. But he couldn’t find the truck, so he was driving back to the patrol station. That was when he saw me. I told the officer, “God sent you!”
Remember today that God is always with you and that He will help you.
