God’s Mercy

In our Bible Reading today, Paul is writing to the Christians in Ephesus. Before these people became Christians, they lived very sinful lives. Paul said they “followed the ruler of the evil powers over the earth” (verse 2).
But then these people learned about Jesus and became Christians. Because God loved them, He showed them His great mercy. God gave them a new life in Christ. Paul also told these people that God raised them from death and gave them a place in heaven (verse 6).
When we become a Christian, God shows us His mercy. He “makes us new people so that we can spend our lives doing the good things he had already planned for us to do” (verse 10b).
Are you living to please yourself today? Or are you living to please God? Accept God’s mercy and grace today. Allow Him to give you a new life!
