God’s Son

In our Bible Reading today, we learn that a man named Nicodemus went to see Jesus. Nicodemus knew that Jesus was a very special man. But Jesus explained more about himself. In verse 16, Jesus told Nicodemus that God loved the world and sent His Son to earth. Why? So people could have their sins forgiven. Jesus was not talking about another man — He was talking about Himself.
We can read about Jesus’ baptism in Luke 3:21-22. “…Jesus came and was baptized too. While Jesus was praying, the sky opened. The Holy Spirit came down on him. The Spirit looked like a real dove. Then a voice came from heaven and said, ‘You are my Son and I love you. I am very pleased with you.’” Here God called Jesus “my Son.”
God wants us to believe that Jesus is His Son and that He sent Jesus to die for us. 1 John 4:15 says, “If a person says, ‘I believe that Jesus is the Son of God,’ then God lives in that person. And that person lives in God.”
Do you want God to live in you? Then believe that Jesus is God’s Son and accept Him as your Lord and Savior.
