One of my daughters and her husband do not believe in God. But when I visit them, I try to take my older grandchildren to church on Sunday.
I was visiting them recently on a Sunday. That morning I felt that I should stay home with my six-month-old grandson so my daughter could get some rest. But I felt bad that I was not taking my other grandchildren to church. God reminded me of what Paul told the Christians in our Bible Reading. In verse 16 he said, “You should know that you yourselves are God’s temple. God’s Spirit lives in you.”
That verse helped me remember that God’s church isn’t a building. Christians are the church. I am part of God’s church. I don’t have to take my grandchildren to a building to teach them about God. I can share Bible stories with them no matter where we are!
I pray that someday my daughter and her family will follow God. But until then, I will continue to share Jesus with my grandchildren every chance I get!
