Good Advice

Today’s psalm begins by giving some good advice. This advice is for all people — poor people and rich people. The writer says that he will share “some very wise and intelligent things” (verse 3).
The writer says several things about rich people: 1) Rich people think their wealth will protect them (verse 6). 2) No person has enough money to buy the right to live forever (verse 9). 3) Rich people “won’t take a thing with them when they die” (verse 17).
What is the good advice in this psalm? First, we should not be afraid of people because they have a lot of money or big fancy houses (verse 16). Second, we should only depend on God for our salvation and eternal life (verse 15).
I hope that you will follow this good advice today. Don’t worry about money and possessions. Focus on loving God and serving Him.
