Hannah (3)

At the time Hannah lived, it was very important for a woman to have children. But Hannah did not have any children. So God answered Hannah?s prayer. He gave her a son. Hannah named her son, Samuel. Verse 20b of our Bible Reading says, ?His name is Samuel because I asked the Lord for him.?
Hannah remembered her promise to God. When Samuel was old enough, she took him to Eli at the place of worship. Hannah told Eli, ?I prayed for this child and the Lord answered my prayer. The Lord gave me this child. And now I give this child to the Lord. He will serve the Lord all his life.? (verses 27-28a).
Sometimes we pray and make promises to God. But when God answers our prayer, we forget our promise. Hannah did not forget her promise. Samuel grew up to be a great leader for God. And God blessed Hannah, too. 1 Samuel 2:21 tells us that later Hannah had more children.
Trust God to answer your prayers. He will bless you with what is best for your life.
