Holy Tent (8)

A curtain separated the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place. This curtain was made from heavy woven cloth and was 15 feet wide.
Once a year the High Priest went through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. He would sprinkle blood on the Box of the Agreement. This is how the Israelites had their sins forgiven.
The curtain represented the separation between God and His people. God hates sin, and He cannot be close to people whose sins have not been forgiven. Matthew 27:51 tells us that when Jesus died on the cross, the curtain in the temple was torn into two pieces. This showed that because of Jesus’ death, people didn’t have to be separated from God any more.
I hope that you are close to God. Have you made the decision to follow Jesus by repenting of your sins, confessing His name and being baptized? If not, be sure to read His Word and obey it today!
