Hospitals and nursing homes are filled with people who are sick. Often these people do not have any family members or friends to help them.
The man in our Bible Reading today was sick and had no one to help him. This man had been sick for thirty-eight years. Probably the man hoped every day that someone would come and help him. Then Jesus came to the man and healed him.
Hope is a wonderful thing. Christians base their hope on the things God has done and His words in the Bible. The Bible tells us that God will be with us during times of problems and discouragement. We can know for sure that God will always be with us.
Maybe you are facing problems. Maybe you are sick. Or maybe you are tempted to give up and turn away from God. Remember the hope that you have in Jesus. Turn to God and ask Him to be with you and comfort you today.
