Our Bible Reading today is about Moses. Maybe you remember that he was a great leader who led the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt. Maybe you remember that Moses stood before the pharaoh (king) in Egypt and did great miracles. Or maybe you think about Moses receiving the ten commandments on Mt. Sinai.
But have you ever thought about Moses being a humble man? Verse 3 of our Bible Reading says, “Moses was a very humble man. He did not boast or brag. He was more humble than any other person on earth.” Moses was humble, but he was also a strong leader. He was able to be strong because God was with him.
God does not use people who are proud. Instead, He uses humble people who do great things for Him – Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ruth, Mary (Jesus’ mother). Probably the best example of a humble person was Jesus. He did nothing for Himself. Jesus did everything to please God.
I hope you are not proud. God wants you to humbly serve and follow Him.
