Jeremiah (12)

I am so glad that God is always fair and just. We can read about God’s fairness and justice in Jeremiah chapters 38 and 39.
Jeremiah spoke God’s words to the people. But some of the officials did not like what Jeremiah said. So they put Jeremiah into a cistern (a deep hole in the ground used to store water). Jeremiah 38:6b says, “Those officials used ropes to lower Jeremiah into the cistern. The cistern didn’t have any water in it, but only mud. And Jeremiah sank down into the mud.” Finally a man named Ebed-Melech begged the king to take Jeremiah out of the cistern and save his life.
God did not forget His faithful servants. When the Babylonians captured the city of Jerusalem, God took care of Jeremiah and Ebed-Melech. God did not forget about their faith and courage.
It is wonderful to know God blesses people who trust Him, God will bless us and take care of us if we depend on Him each day.
