Jeremiah (3)

I know some children who are very spoiled (selfish). Their parents give them everything they want. These children do not pay attention to rules. They always say, “I want it MY way!”
Most of us know that we cannot always have things the way we want them. We also know that if we had all the things we want, we would probably have a lot of troubles, too.
God is all-powerful. He knows everything. Sometimes He answers our prayers with a “yes.” Other times He says “no.” Why? Because He knows what is best for us.
In our Bible Reading today, the Israelites acted like spoiled children who did not get what they wanted. They only paid attention to the messages they wanted to hear.
What do you do when God says “no”? Do you stomp your feet and scream? Or do you trust that God has something better planned for you?
