Jesus (8)

The Israelites were slaves in Egypt. God chose Moses to free the Israelites. Moses asked Pharaoh, the ruler of Egypt, to let the Israelites go free, but he refused. God made terrible things happen to the Egyptians, but Pharaoh still would not let them go.
After many terrible things happened, God told Moses He would kill the firstborn of each family in Egypt. In our Bible verses, we learn that the Israelites were to kill a lamb and put its blood on their door frame. Then God would pass over their house and not kill their firstborn. The Israelites were protected by the blood of the lamb.
The devil wants us to be punished for our sins. But God sent Jesus to be our “Lamb.” Jesus accepted the punishment for our sins when He died for us. When He was nailed to a cross, He bled for us. The blood of Jesus, our Lamb, saves us.
As Christians, we are saved by Jesus’ blood. Don’t live without Jesus, the Lamb!
