Jesus Died for Us

Almost every day I see on the news that soldiers are coming home from the Middle East. These soldiers usually are met by family and friends who greet them with hugs and handshakes. People thank these soldiers for being willing to risk their lives for our freedom.
I am thinking about a man who lived on earth. Most of the time, people ignored him or made fun of him. Some people followed him, but others didn’t want any part of him. Finally, people who hated him hung him on a cross to die. That man was Jesus. He was willing to give up His life for you and me.
Verses 7 and 8 of our Bible Reading say, “Very few people will die to save the life of another person, even if that other person is a good person…But Christ died for us while we were still sinners. In that way God showed us that he loves us very much.”
Jesus died for YOU! Be sure to thank Him today.
