Jesus is With Us

We may begin each day with a time of prayer. And maybe we read a devotion like this one. But then throughout the day, problems come up. We allow ourselves to become worried and afraid.
That is how Jesus’ followers felt in our Bible Reading today. They were in a boat with Jesus, sailing across the lake. Jesus was asleep. Then a “big storm blew across the lake, and the boat began to fill with water. They were in danger” (verse 23b).
The followers woke Jesus up and said (verse 24b), “Master! Master! We will drown!” The followers were upset. But where was Jesus? He was there with them. Jesus got up and commanded the wind and waves to stop.
When we become worried and afraid, we sometimes forget that Jesus is with us. Jesus was with His followers, and He helped them. He will help you today, too.
